Question for the Author of the Quiz:
Which U.S. State has the Easternmost Point BEFORE Maine?!?
I'm not sure what you mean, but I'd have to say Massachusetts, which Maine used to be part of.
Okay, well, I'm kind of being the Trivia Wiseguy here ...
FYI, technically the Easternmost point in the United States is at a place called Pochnoi Point on Semisopochnoi Island.
The Easternmost Point in the CONTINENTAL United States, that's definitely Lubec, Maine, well Lubec is the Easternmost town... perhaps there's a spot outside of Lubec further East? Not exactly sure. After that? New Hampshire seems right but Martha's Vineyard (the only place with an apostrophe in the name in the U.S.) could extend slightly east of NH. Not sure.
Correction on the Mafia question: the name probably comes from the Arabic word for "aggressive" or "boasting". The question here relates to a popular backronym. Thanks to CGB for the heads up!
